A fantastic effort from our Yr3/4 tag rugby team at the Burnley School Sport Partnership event this morning! After developing their skills, they played brilliantly, winning 3 out of 4 league games and scoring an incredible 22 tries! Huge thanks to Miss Baxendale for her amazing support!
What an amazing start to our work with Rosegrove Infant School! Today, our Year 5 Guardian Angels from Yr5 Oak Class met their buddies, sparking new friendships for the year ahead. We can’t wait for Year 5 Chestnut's visit tomorrow! It’s fantastic to see our school communities coming together. Stay tuned for more heart-warming updates!
Today, our School Council hosted a delightful Cake Sale raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support! The children came together with enthusiasm, raising an amazing amount that we are still counting! A huge thank you to Miss Roberts and our fantastic children for their unwavering support throughout the event. Together, we made a difference and enjoyed some scrumptious treats! 
We are proud of our incredible Yr6 Girls Rugby Team who represented Lowerhouse Junior School at the Yr7/6 Girls Tag Rugby Festival! They showcased fantastic teamwork, qualifying for the finals stage and winning 2 out of 3 matches. Their hard work earned them an impressive 2nd place!
We’re excited to share that over the summer holidays and start of September, our Inclusion Team have been busy revamping our old library space into our new nurture and sensory room!
This space will support our children feel calm and supported as they learn and grow. We can’t wait for our children to enjoy it!
We had a fantastic assembly today with the amazing Mad Science! We watched a variety of thrilling experiments that sparked our curiosity! We’re delighted to announce that Mad Science will be hosting an after-school club on Thursdays for our budding scientists! This morning, we unveiled our benches in memory of our welfare staff member, Jean Walsh. 🌼✨Jean made a big difference in the lives of many children and families in our school community. These benches are a spot for our children and families to sit, share stories, and memories in honour of Jean. 🪑❤️ A big thank you to everyone in our school for your generous donations, and to Jean’s family for their constant support in fundraising. Your kindness has made this possible.
We kicked off our Table Tennis Lunchtime Club with Mr Lloyd! Children learnt different shots and enjoyed some close matches. It was fantastic to see everyone joining in and having fun! Keep up the great work, everyone, and we look forward to more sessions with other groups in the next few weeks!
We are absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news about our very own Delilah from Lowerhouse Junior School! 🌟
Delilah competed in her first British qualifier competition in Sheffield, and she absolutely shone on the ice! ✨ With not one, but two personal bests in her Pattern dance and Free dance routines, she demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication.
🥇 1st Place in her Free dance with an impressive score of 15.17!
🥉 3rd Place in her Pattern dance with a score of 16.16!
To come home with two medals is an incredible achievement, particularly as this marks the beginning of the 25/26 season and her first outing at a British qualifier.

A huge thank you to our amazing families and children! Thanks to your generous donations, the Y6 children raised a fabulous £450 to help reduce plastic waste in our school and help towards supplying water battles for everyone. We had a wonderful morning in the sunshine, enjoying time together and eating plenty of cake! We are so grateful for your support. Our school community is truly special. Thank you all
