We’re proud to announce our High 5 Netball team finished undefeated at the Burnley School Sport Partnership competition and are the winners! They will now represent Burnley at the Lancashire Finals in Preston! Thank you to Miss Baxendale and Mrs Sutcliffe for their hard work, and to our amazing parents and families for their support!

This week, our Year 5 "Guardian Angels" enjoyed a great afternoon with their Year 2 buddies from Rosegrove Infant School! They explored our school grounds on an orienteering course before spending time reading together. It was wonderful to see Yr5 supporting their younger friends and sharing a love for books!
Huge congratulations to our Year 6 pupils for their hard work during a busy week of SATs! 📚Your effort and attitude have been fantastic, and we are so proud of you all.
A huge well done to our amazing Yr3 and Yr4 Cross-Country Team for their first Burnley School Sport Partnership race! They showed our school value of "resilience" as they ran the course and achieved some fantastic results!
We are excited to announce that our Yr5/6 Football team has won their semi-final against St Stephens in a tense penalty shootout! The team showed our values of "resilience" and "integrity". A big thank you to Mr Cosgrove and Mr Pope for organising the match, and to our amazing parents and staff for their support! Good luck in the final – we’re all cheering for you!
This morning, our whole school gathered to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a lovely Picnic Lunch! We also marked the occasion with a two-minute silence at 12:00pm to honour those who fought for our freedom. Children shared their thoughts on the importance of this historic day. Thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for making this lunchtime special!
Our Year 3 children had a brilliant time at their first face-to-face Linking Programme workshop with Bradley Primary School! They spent the day at Burnley Youth Theatre, making new friends and enjoying fun activities that encouraged teamwork. A big thank you to everyone involved and to Burnley Youth Theatre for such a warm welcome!
This week, Year 6 enjoyed orienteering lessons with Mr Pope! They learned how to read the map of our school and locate key features to find points quickly. It was great to see their teamwork as they explored our outdoor space.
We're absolutely bursting with pride after an incredible morning spent at the stunning Gawthorpe Hall! Our Year 3 pupils were a true credit to our school today, showcasing their enthusiasm and creativity while working diligently on their sketches. 🎨
